Hair and healthy food!

Hi guys,

I must talk about another issue here.

When I was starving I lost a lot of my hair. They became thin, dry and just weren’t as robust anymore. So I didn’t only lose weight but lost hair as well.

I hated myself even more with this.

Once I started eating something it became better but let me tell you: It still only was okay/average with an okay/average diet.

But when I started to work out and ate much more protein with veggies/fruits I got so thick, robust, shiny and fantastic hair. The entire structure has changed.

Always remember> Hair is primarily made out of protein (keratin)!

My pony tail became very heavy and thick and my hair just grew much faster. And down to the fact that it became more robust as well I could let it grow very long without any problems.

I cannot recommend enough to EAT well, to make sure you have enough protein in your diet and to take care of yourself.

It changes so much in your life!

Take care and eat well…it does make a huge difference,

Anne

Jamie's Fitbook: Destroying yourself.

Hi, this person posted a blog entry which doesn’t only make sense but also shows the passion, right energy and thoughts this person puts into this.

The thoughts are very true in my opinion and I agree to 100% with it.

Take care and enjoy the post,

Anne

I stumbled upon a diet while cruisin’ on tumblr which made me really sad. It’s called the ABC-diet. For you guys out there who don’t know what the ABC-diet is, here’s a little snapshot of the chart I came across (I won’t post the whole chart, because it’s shocking.):

I could not believe my…

Those cross fit women are so inspiring! I LOVE when women are not afraid of tougher exercises.

I also LOVE what the girl had to say at the beginning of the video. What she says is very true as those “health” magazine covers still show far to skinny looking girls which simply cannot be as fit as the magazine claims.

Enjoy the video and get inspired,

Anne

Footprints: Good carbs, Bad carbs

Very good post which explains what good and bad carbs are.

This might help as well :) Thank you for sharing!

Take care,

Anne

iamnooodle:

“Good Carbs”

Good carbs are excellent sources of vitamins, minerals, and fiber and should not be avoided. They are vital for your energy levels and essential for your physical and mental health.

They are also a valuable source of fiber to keep you feeling full and satisfied, preventing food…

No cake, no bread, no rice, no alc…

… and I had no refined products or sugary products for several month now.

Although I can actually live with it very well I must say that it does make things very complicated from time to time.

For example> When I’m out with friends I just cannot drink alcohol nor I can actually go to a pizza place. Just a quick snack on the way is impossible for me (as the “snacks” you can buy on the way are all rubbish food).

Toilets have to be always available as with this 2-3liters a day (sometimes more) I got to go to the toilet a lot. In London this doesn’t make fun as the tubes can sometimes take ages ;)

Going to a restaurant isn’t easy as I have to change the menu I order (which is closest to my diet but still not perfect) all the time (well, my partner is always happy that he gets so much extra chips, rice or bread …as I can’t eat it).

My fridge is always full with TONS of veggies and fruits. There is hardly any space left for the couple of (unhealthy sugary) yogurts or rice puddings of my partner ;)

When I’m invited to a party I can’t drink alcohol nor I can have a piece of the party cake. Just for very important people I will have their self made cake and have a glas of sparkling wine if required.

I have to take my very own food everywhere I go…to make sure I can eat when I need and get the right food when I need it.

I tell you> Sometimes it is not so easy to live on a “healthy” diet when no one around you is participating. I literally don’t know anyone who actually lives so strictly without any bad food. Everyone around me just doesn’t care at all. My partner, my friends, my parents…no one would consider to miss a cake, crackers, bread, alcohol or other fatty/sugary/fancy stuff.

But then again> I don’t know anyone around me who actually looks fit and healthy either (exept of my personal trainer workmates…but that’s a different story ;)).

So it just depends what is important in your life and what you want from it. I want to be fit, healthy and look this way, too…and for others this might not be so important.

So guys? How do you feel about this? Are you the only one or is anyone in your life supporting you with your goals and healthy living? Do you sometimes feel like you are the only one who actually does live after a healthy living standard? How do you cope with it in the “real world”?

Take care and stay healthy,

Anne
