About 3 month ago I went out to a social with my partner. On our table sat a very nice young man. We started talking to him and discovered each others jobs (you know the usual small talk).
Since I’m a personal trainer we started a conversation about fitness and sports and he talked about his wife. He said that before the birth of their child she must have been an extremely sportive person. She played basket ball, was even a basket ball coach and could do thousands of sit-ups.
After she gave birth she has lost the interest in any sports since her child was born with a very rare condition and needed extra caring. She was much more focused on her child than on herself.
He said that she has given up on her “sporty” self and never believed to get back into shape again.
I said to him “I tell you that once she will put a foot in our studio and start exercising she will be warmed up by her tiger blood. If she has ever been so competitive and athletic than all she needs is a challenge again and she will never stop…she has this in herself and it isn’t gone yet. She has this tiger blood. She knows how this pain feels and she has reached her plateaus already. When she has done it once in her life then she will do it again…she just needs to start!”
He said he wasn’t sure about it but was fascinated by the thought and took my number…but he didn’t promise that I’ll will ever get a call because he thought his wife’s interest in any form of fitness would be gone.
A couple of weeks later I got a call from my colleague. She said that there is a women on the phone who’s husband I have met and that she wanted to start training with me.
I cannot tell you how happy I was about this call! I think I was dancing around my room because I saw so much potential in this very moment…I saw it as the beginning of something very good!
She is training with me for about 2 month now. She has never stopped since. She has lost 10kg, about 7cm on each of her legs, 10cm on her waist and 10cm on her hips…and she hasn’t even finished yet!
She is so determined and has got it back…her Tiger Blood! I knew it was always there :)
Such an amazing woman!
Never stop believing! Never give up!
