Yesterday evening I was allowed to take photos in the freshly opened Crystal Palace Market, a new restaurant in 3-7 Church Road.
It’s a beautiful place. Those guys put so much work into their restaurant and have such an eye for detail. I very much liked their industrial style light set up.
As I came quite late (10pm) it was already a little quieter and I had a chance to walk around and take pictures without disturbing anyone.
…I had such a laugh when I went to the bathroom and heard poetry coming out of the speakers> It felt like a very civilized visit to the loo.
I also enjoyed having a little bit of a zoo experience when I took pictures of the living lobsters.
The food looked great, simple but made to perfection. I liked the fact that you can actually see what’s going on in the kitchen. I didn’t get the chance to eat there yet…as it was simply too late for me…but I’m really looking forward to having their mouthwatering grilled fish myself.

Kids Photo Shooting At The Playground
Yesterday I also had an incredibly funny opportunity to take the photos of the cutest kids in town.
First I thought the children might be quite shy…but they were posing like maniacs, making stunts on the play ground and were shouting “Anne, Anne…here, here…me, me…look! You have to look!”…they did it so intensively that at some point other children on the playground were shouting at me as well “Anne, look!”…
It was too funny and an incredible experience:)
After the playground shooting, the kids were having their cupcake decoration time. Don’t the cupcakes look tempting and great?
I’m so grateful for yesterdays special shooting.

Yesterday my partner and I decided to go to the new food market around our area. As I promised to take pictures of the market for Jenna, a journalist and local blogger, I thought it would be a great idea to take my camera with me and take pictures.
The atmosphere was so lovely there. The people were incredibly friendly, the food mouthwatering (it was hard to take all of the pictures of wonderful looking food, trying to resist and not jumping into the cakes) and also the quality of the products was first class.
As our community is very strong and helpful, the manager of this market, Laura, came to me and asked me if they could use my photos for their website. I was very happy to have the honor:)
The market is open every Saturday from 10am-3pm and to find at Haynes Lane.

Taylor, Personal Trainer in Crystal Palace, Athlete Photo Shooting
Yesterday I had the pleasure to capture personal trainer and martial arts expert Taylor Battery for an athlete photo shooting.
Taylor is normally extremely down to earth, humble and never ever makes a fuzz over his physique or accomplishments. So I thought it is going to be a challenge to capture Taylor in a way no one has ever seen him before> Like an edgy, tough and serious athlete who isn’t afraid of showing off his well earned muscles.
But to my surprise Taylor liked this kind of role play and really got into the character. He did so well that I was totally amazed!
The set up was a grey gym floor tucked against the wall (as the walls in the gym are normally white) and a tiny desk lamp which I carried on my lower arm throughout the shooting.
The purpose was not to make “pretty” pictures but to take edgy, intensive pictures…and I LOVE how well Taylor gives soul to the photo with his body language.
